The sacrament of Confirmation is when one is receives the Holy Spirit. The confirmandi receives the 8 gifts of the Holy Spirit and the abundant grace that comes with them. This sacrament completes the covenant that was made at Baptism by fully uniting the confirmandi to the life of Christ.

Confirmation is usually celebrated when one is in the 8th grade, after they have received the previous 3 sacraments (Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Communion).
