The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the True Presence of Jesus’ Body and Blood, in the form of bread and wine. This sacrament was instituted by Christ during the last supper. Catholics have the wondrous blessing of being able to receive the Eucharist every Sunday.

The first time this is celebrated is usually in the 2nd grade after one has received their First Reconciliation. In order to celebrate this sacrament one must:

• Must have previously received First Reconciliation
• Attend mass on a regular basis
• Complete at home family preparation as well as preparation in the school and a family retreat day at the parish.
